For your team

Every agent in your state posts the same carrier graphic. Answer one policy question on camera instead.

An agent's marketing folder is full of assets somebody else made. The carrier's graphics, the carrier's video, the same renewal post every appointed agent in the state downloads this month. None of it separates you from the agency two blocks away. This page covers what does, what one desk take costs to turn into a finished vertical video, and what the software will not check for you.

The carrier's asset library is the same library your competitor downloads

Open the co-op portal. Every graphic in it is already on the feed of every agent appointed with that carrier.

The post is not wrong. It is just not yours, and somebody comparing two agents cannot tell you apart from a shared template.

What separates agents is not design. It is whether a person has heard you explain something before they ring.

This product is a promise about a bad day. Nobody validates a promise like that by reading a brochure. They validate it by deciding they trust the person making it.

That decision happens in about forty seconds, on a phone, usually after a referral and before the first call.

A face saying a plain sentence about deductibles beats a stock photograph of a family on a lawn, and it costs less to make than the mailer did.

The agents winning this are not better marketers. They picked one question a week and answered it out loud, and after a year they are the only one in the county who has.

The questions people are too embarrassed to ask you are the content plan

The list already exists. It is the questions asked at renewal, in the same words, by different people, every single year.

What a deductible actually means on the day a claim goes in.

Why the premium moved when nothing about the household moved.

What replacement cost pays that actual cash value does not.

Whether the teenager has to go on the policy the week they pass the test.

What to do in the first ten minutes after a crash, before anybody calls anybody.

Answer one of those a week, in the words you already use on the phone, and in a year you own the only asset in this business that compounds.

Do not write it out first. A scripted answer sounds like a brochure, and the brochure is the thing they ignored before they called you.

  • One question per video, thirty to sixty seconds
  • Say it the way you say it at renewal, including the part where you admit most people get it wrong
  • Name the town. Local is the only targeting that matters in this business
  • Record four in one sitting at your desk. The set-up cost is paid once

One desk take in, a finished captioned vertical back

Film the answer on your phone, propped against the monitor, any length up to three minutes.

Cutroom transcribes every word, drafts the cut, finds b-roll for the lines that need a picture and returns a finished 9:16 MP4 with the captions burned in. It comes back in about a minute.

You direct it by pointing at words. Highlight a phrase and a clip lands over exactly those words.

Delete a line you should not have said, and the cut rebuilds around what is left. Change the pace and it re-cuts the whole thing.

There is no timeline. Nothing to scrub, no keyframes, no layers, nothing to learn on a Sunday afternoon.

Fix a mis-heard word in the transcript before export, which matters when the word was a policy term or a number.

It runs in a browser, which matters when the agency manages your machine and you cannot install anything on it.

From a renewal question to a posted answer

Four answers in one sitting is a month of posting.

  1. Film one answer

Up to 3 minutes, at your desk

  2. Batch

    100 CR: transcript, cut, b-roll

  3. Read every word

Delete a line, the cut rebuilds

  4. Export

    20 CR per output minute, 9:16 MP4

Compliance is reading, not scrubbing

Say this part plainly. No software keeps you compliant, and one that claims it does should worry you.

Advertising rules differ by state and by carrier, and most agencies run a marketing review on top of both.

What Cutroom gives you is the finished video as text, on one screen, before it exports.

A review that used to mean watching a cut with a notepad becomes reading a page and marking a sentence.

If a line promises coverage that a policy decides, the line comes out and the cut rebuilds around it. That is the whole edit, and it takes seconds.

Two habits keep these videos safe, and neither is software. Explain how something works rather than what a policy will pay. Send anyone asking about their own cover back to their own declarations page.

Keep the carrier's name out of any claim you are making yourself, unless your agreement says otherwise.

What a weekly answer costs

A batch is 100 credits. That is the transcript, the director pass and the b-roll search. Export is 20 credits per output minute.

A thirty second answer comes to about 110 credits all in.

Lite is $19.99 a month for 1,250 credits, about eleven finished answers. That is a weekly habit with two spare.

Basic is $39.99 for 2,500 credits, about twenty two. Premium is $79.99 for 5,000 credits, about forty five.

Before any of that, the first three answers are free: three finished videos inside your first seven days, no card asked for anywhere, on the 600 credits granted at signup. Those three carry a Cutroom mark across the middle, and Lite takes it off. Nothing sits on a paid export, and cancelling is one click under Settings.

Put that beside one printed mailer or a month of sponsored placemats. The comparison is not close, and unlike the mailer the video is still answering the question in March.

Finished thirty second answers a month, by plan

Questions people ask

Will this keep me compliant with my state and my carrier?
No, and distrust anything that says it will. Rules differ by state, by carrier and by agency. What you get is every word of the finished video as text before export, so the review is reading rather than scrubbing, and deleting a sentence rebuilds the cut around it.
Do I have to be the one on camera?
It should be you, because your face is the part the carrier cannot supply. If nobody in the office will appear, the presenter module renders a lip-synced face from a photo and a voice-over at 350 credits per minute of render, and it reads as informational rather than personal.
Can I use a script the agency has already approved?
Yes. Read it in one take and upload that. The transcript of the finished video is what your reviewer reads, so an approved script comes back word for word with the captions matched to it.
What does one video a week actually cost?
About 440 credits a month at thirty seconds each. Every video is 100 credits for the batch plus 20 per output minute to export. Lite is $19.99 a month for 1,250 credits, which covers a weekly answer with room to redo two.
Who should not buy this?
An agency whose plan is a produced brand film for the website, or an owner who will not appear on camera at all. Everything vertical and spoken, which is what a prospect actually watches before calling, is faster here at about 110 credits a video.

One renewal question, answered at your desk. A finished captioned vertical back in about a minute for about 110 credits, in your words rather than the carrier's.
