How long a TikTok caption can be
TikTok accepts 4,000 characters but shows only about the first 100 in the feed.
- After about 100 characters, TikTok hides the rest behind 'more', and many people never tap it.
- The exact cut-off moves with the phone, the font size and the length of your username.
- The generator warns you when your first line runs past the cut-off.
