Every Cutroom price in credits
Every charge is a fixed number of credits. Charges per minute are rounded up to whole credits.
- Editing is one charge per clip, whether the clip is 20 seconds or 3 minutes long.
- The AI presenter is by far the biggest cost, at 350 credits per minute of video.

The kind of video decides the cost, because a credit costs about the same on every plan.
- A filmed video is one you record of yourself talking. At 40 seconds it costs 114 credits, about $1.82.
- Adding a generated music track makes it 164 credits.
- An AI presenter video turns a photo and a generated voice into someone saying your script. At 40 seconds it costs 395 credits, about $6.32.

What uses up credits quickly?
Three things use up credits faster than a normal filmed video.
- Long AI presenter videos use the most, because 90 seconds of presenter alone is 525 credits.
- Every export after a change costs credits again, so five exports of a 40-second video, each after a change, cost 70 credits.
- Making a new music track for every video costs 50 credits each time for a track up to 60 seconds, and more for longer ones.
What Cutroom does not do
These limits are the same on every plan. If you need one of them, you need a second tool.
- Cutroom only exports vertical 9:16 MP4 videos. It does not make 16:9 videos.
- Your clip can be up to 3 minutes long.
- There is no timeline, no keyframes and no layers. You edit the words in the transcript instead.
- Generated music tracks can be up to 2 minutes long.

- How many videos does each plan cover?
- About 10 filmed 40-second videos on Lite, 21 on Basic and 43 on Premium. Basic also covers 6 AI presenter videos, and Premium 12.
- Does exporting again cost credits?
- Only if you changed the cut: 20 credits per minute, rounded up, which is 14 credits for a 40-second video. The same cut again, unchanged, is free, unless the renderer was updated or your watermark changed.
- What does one credit cost in dollars?
- About 1.6 cents on every plan. Lite is $19.99 for 1,250 credits, and Basic, Premium and the $39.99 top-up all work out the same.
- Which plans include music and AI presenters?
- Basic at $39.99 and Premium at $79.99. Lite and the free video cannot generate music tracks or presenter videos.
- Is the first video really free?
- Yes. Your first video is free, with no card, and you have 7 days to make it. It carries a Cutroom mark, and Lite at $19.99 a month removes it.
