Refunds and cancellations

Cancel in one click. No email, no phone call.

Last updated 17 August 2026. This is the whole policy. If something here reads as unclear, reply to any email from us and a person will answer.

The free plan

No card, and nothing to cancel. A new account gets 3 finished videos and 600 credits to make them with, in the first 7 days after the account is created. There is no card on file and no charge at any point, so there is nothing here to refund.

Those videos export with a Cutroom mark in the bottom-right corner. They are yours to download and post as they are. A paid plan removes the mark; it does not change anything else about them.

Paying for a plan

A plan is charged on the day you buy it, at the price shown on the button. There is no trial period on a paid plan and no delayed first charge.

If that first charge was not what you meant to do, tell us within seven days and we refund it in full. No argument and no questions.

Cancelling a paid plan

One click under Settings, Billing. It takes effect at the end of the period you already paid for, so you keep what you bought until it runs out. We do not ask why, and there is no cancellation fee.

Nothing is charged after you cancel. Any credits already in your balance stay usable until the period ends.

Refunds

Your first charge: if you did not mean to be billed and you tell us within 7 days, you get it back in full. No argument and no conditions.

Later charges: we refund unused subscription time when something on our side went wrong, and we say so plainly when we think it did not. Ask, and we will tell you either way.

Credits: a refund takes back the credits that payment bought. Credits you already spent on finished videos are not refundable, because the work was done and the machines were paid.

Top-ups: refundable in full while unspent, and partially while partly spent.

How to ask

Reply to any Cutroom email, or write to support@cutroomai.com. Refunds go back to the card you paid with, and take five to ten days to appear depending on your bank.

If you are thinking about disputing a charge with your bank, email us first. We will almost always sort it out the same day, and a dispute takes weeks either way.

When we say no

We refuse a refund in one case: an account that generated a large volume of finished exports and then asked for the money back. The renders cost us real money at the moment they were made, and they cannot be returned.
