What Cutroom does and does not do
Cutroom is not a timeline editor. It makes one kind of video: a finished vertical ad from one person talking.
- B-roll never covers more than 52% of the video, so the speaker stays on screen.
- Transitions are Cut, Whip, Punch, Glitch or Sweep. Clips sit full screen, on a small card, in a bottom band or on a tilted card.
- Client footage can be uploaded once and placed on the words it belongs to.

- Will AI replace video editors?
- Not for the craft work. AI tools handle transcripts, captions and short versions, but story, colour and sound still need an editor. They mostly take over the repetitive jobs.
- Can I import the result into Premiere or Resolve?
- Not from Cutroom. It exports a finished 9:16 MP4 with captions in the video, with no XML or project file. OpusClip's Pro plan does export to Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve.
- Can I use my own footage as b-roll in Cutroom?

- Less than in a timeline. You place clips by highlighting words, fix misheard words and pick transitions. You cannot delete lines or trim the start and end, and frame-level timing stays in your timeline editor.
