Questions people ask
- How long can a Facebook reel be?
- There is no length limit. In June 2025 Meta said all Facebook videos will be shared as reels, with no length or format restrictions.
- What size is a Facebook reel?
- Vertical 9:16. Cutroom exports that shape as an MP4 of 1080 x 1920 pixels, the full HD size. For Reels ads, Meta recommends a sharper 1440 x 2560 and files of up to 4 GB, so check the ad preview before you run it.
- Can I use a Cutroom reel as a Facebook ad?
- Yes. Upload the MP4 in Ads Manager and choose the Reels placement. Keep key text out of the top 14% and the bottom 35% of the frame.
- Does the same reel work on Instagram?
- Yes. Meta's ads guide gives Facebook Reels and Instagram Reels the same 9:16 shape and the same text margins, so one Cutroom export works on both.
